Old haberdashery
Reputedly once a haberdashers shop on the seafront, this house had been generically modernised in the ‘90s. Features like the internal window, once separating shop from living accommodation, thankfully remained and were enhanced in a scheme designed to unify the ground floor and create storage. Bookcases with burnt-orange interiors showcase the clients’ collection of ceramics and the bespoke kitchen was designed to charm as well as be practical. Upstairs in the bathroom a re-enameled, reclaimed bath is teamed with a matt-lacquered, antique sideboard-turned-vanity and a wet-room shower area.
